Our Process.
BLU began in Amsterdam, where the first sketches were inspired by the everyday biking experience, what people wore and how much I, myself, tried to carry on a bike. The result? A bag designed with a wide, weight-distributing strap that balances comfort with functionality.
At BLU, we take a circular approach to both design and production. Though we're a small operation, we're committed to minimizing waste and sourcing denim deadstock whenever possible. With Amsterdam and Los Angeles as major denim hubs, we're lucky to have access to high-quality local deadstock, which forms the foundation for all of our designs.
All BLU pieces are handmade between Amsterdam and Los Angeles. We kindly ask for your understanding as you may come across some minor imperfections in the material or in the construction. In a world dominated by mass-production, we believe in the uniqueness and value of handmade items.
It is important to note that each batch of our items is unique, as we utilize deadstock. While the quality remains consistent, variations in color and denim weight may occur, adding to the individuality of each piece.
