WHO IS BLU

Launched in Spring 2024, BLU is an Amsterdam / Los Angeles based passion project created by Nikola Schmitt. 

The original BLU Bag takes inspiration from the fast-paced lifestyle and the necessity for practicality, especially for those constantly on the move. Designed with biking in mind, it reflects the influence of Dutch cycling culture in both form and function.

Guided by her studies and experiences in the realm of sustainability in fashion, circularity plays a crucial role in BLU's decision-making process. BLU adopts a circular approach, making use of denim deadstock and scraps. Each piece is unique and handcrafted between Amsterdam & LA.
